Terms of Use

Effective Date: May 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of cxstandard.org and all associated services, materials, frameworks, registries, certification systems, and publications operated by CX Standard Institute. By accessing or using this website, users agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Purpose of the Website

CX Standard Institute operates as an independent international body focused on defining customer experience standards, administering certification systems, maintaining certification registries, publishing frameworks and technical materials, and supporting evaluation integrity and governance. The website is provided for informational, operational, and certification-related purposes.

2. Intellectual Property

All content published on this website — including frameworks, methodologies, standards, logos, seals, certification marks, documents, graphics, reports, terminology, scoring structures, and evaluation systems — is the intellectual property of CX Standard Institute unless otherwise stated.

No content may be reproduced, distributed, modified, republished, or commercially exploited without prior written authorization. Unauthorized use of certification marks, seals, or representations of certification status is strictly prohibited.

3. No Self-Declaration of Certification

No individual or organization may claim certification under CX Standard without successful completion of the required evaluation process, formal approval by authorized certification bodies, and active certification status recorded by the Institute.

Any false, misleading, expired, suspended, or revoked certification claim constitutes misuse of the CX Standard system. The Institute reserves the right to revoke certification recognition and pursue corrective action where necessary.

4. Registry Verification

The official registry and certificate verification tools exist solely to validate certification status. Users may not manipulate registry data, impersonate certified entities, create misleading representations, or scrape or extract registry information for unauthorized commercial purposes. The Institute reserves the right to modify, suspend, or restrict registry access at any time.

5. Limitation of Liability

CX Standard Institute provides its website and materials on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The Institute does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, absence of technical errors, completeness of all information, or suitability for specific business decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CX Standard Institute disclaims liability for indirect damages, business interruption, loss of profits, reliance on website information, or misuse of certification status by third parties. Certification does not constitute a guarantee of future operational performance, regulatory compliance, or financial outcomes.

6. Certification Integrity

The Institute reserves the right to suspend certifications, revoke certifications, conduct follow-up audits, investigate misconduct, and publish enforcement notices where necessary to protect the integrity of the standard. Certification decisions are governed by the official certification framework and related policies.

7. External Links

The website may contain references or links to third-party resources. CX Standard Institute is not responsible for external content, availability, security, accuracy, or privacy practices. Access to third-party services is at the user's own risk.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with platform operations, distribute malicious software, impersonate other persons or organizations, submit fraudulent information, or misuse Institute intellectual property. Any activity compromising certification integrity or system security may result in legal action.

9. Modifications

CX Standard Institute may modify these Terms, certification structures, framework documentation, registry functionality, and operational procedures. Updated versions become effective upon publication.

10. Governing Framework

Use of the website does not create certification status, partnership, accreditation rights, or authorization to represent the Institute. Official certification relationships are governed separately through certification agreements, accreditation policies, and operational procedures.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws and governing jurisdiction designated by CX Standard Institute.
